Hi, I'm Ty.
I build websites and run local marketing for small businesses around Blair County. It is just me. That is the whole thing, and it is deliberate.
I started Burket Web Design in 2019 after watching too many local businesses get sold something they did not need by someone they never spoke to again. A big proposal, a long onboarding, then a junior nobody introduced them to and a monthly report full of numbers that had nothing to do with the phone ringing.
So I run it the opposite way. You get me on the phone. I write the words, build the site, manage your Google profile and send the report. When something breaks you text me and I fix it, usually that day.
I keep the prices on the website because I think making someone sit through a sales call to find out a number is a waste of their afternoon. If the figure does not work for your business, that is useful information for both of us in five minutes rather than five emails.
I also work full time on the customer success side of a software company that builds local marketing tools for agencies. That is where I learned most of what I know about Google Business Profiles, and it means I am using the same software every day that I use for my own clients. It is an unusual setup and it works in your favour.
I live in Blair County, I work with businesses across Central and Western Pennsylvania, and I would rather have fifteen clients I actually know than a hundred I cannot name.
How I work
Four things I will not budge on.
You own everything
Domain, hosting, files and your Google profile, all in your name. If you ever leave you hand nothing back and I keep nothing.
Prices stay public
On the website, where anyone can see them. Nobody who pushed harder gets a better deal than the person who did not.
One business per category
I will not take you and your competitor in the same town. I cannot honestly rank both, so I do not pretend otherwise.
I tell you when it is not a fit
On the first call, rather than sending a proposal to be polite. It costs me work and saves us both a bad six months.
